Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming reality show called “Lockup,” in which 17 celebrities will be locked up and must play the game to get bail and survive the show. Kangana Ranaut will make her OTT debut as host, guiding and streaming the candidates.
MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor’s magnum effort ‘Lock Up ‘ hosted by the queen of controversies and news herself Kangana Ranaut. ‘Lock up’ is a reality show, where 17 contestants will be locked up and will have to play the game and fight for bail in order to survive on the show.
Nisha Rawal was the first confirmed contestant of the show and many names have been floating around as potential participants for the show, including Poonam Pandey, Ishaan Seghal, Miesha Iyer, Pratik Sehjapal, and Shehnaaz Gill.
Now, Ace Wrestler Babita Phogat who was one of the inspirations of the Bollywood Blockbuster and Aamir Khan starter ‘Dangal’ is the fourth confirmed content of the reality show hosted by Kangana Ranaut.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Babita Phogat to talk about what she expects from the show, her reaction if people will try to trigger her, her boundaries, and the limits that she is setting for herself:
The show is going to bring a lot of different people together and what will be the kind of people you would want to stay away from and what really triggers you?
B.P: I don’t think there is anything really anything that will trouble me because I am going prepared for uncertainty because there is no road map for me to expect something or make a plan that would never be used will not have any effect, and I am usually very equipped to handle things but I would want to stay away from liars because I don’t like dishonesty.
OTT is taking over and because of its diverse nature of it, there might be experimental things on the show, what are the personal boundaries that you have set or lines that you personally wouldn’t cross?
B.P: I don’t really know what will happen in the show, because it is happening for the first time, but I can say one thing fr certainty is I will take a stand for what I feel is right no matter what and I am a fearless kind of a person I will be my ‘dhakkad’ self.
What was your family’s reaction to you being a part of this show and how did you see your journey in the show?
My family has always been supportive and strong pillars in my life, but I am the one responsible for the choice that I make and the decisions that I take are solely my own, there are moments where i do discuss with them the opportunities it the big dilemmas but the choices have always been my own.
Babita Phogat is an Olympic Gold medalist who will be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Lock Up’ that is hosted by Kangana Ranaut and starts streaming on MX player and Alt Balaji from 28th February.
