Oscar winner Joe Pesci will star alongside Pete Davidson and Edie Falco in the half-hour live-action comedy series “Bupkis” for Peacock.
SNL alum Davidson will play a fictional version of himself in the series which is akin to “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and follows a heightened, fictionalized version of Davidson navigating daily life. Pesci will be playing Davidson’s grandfather, and Falco will be Davidson’s mother in what is dubbed an “unapologetically R-rated” project.
This marks only the second regular TV series gig for Pesci, he previously headlined the short-lived 1985 ABC detective comedy-drama “Half Nelson”. It’s also a coup for the series as Pesci has only had three on-screen roles in the 21st century, most recently in 2019’s “The Irishman”.
David Sirus and “Crashing” producer Judah Miller are also onboard to co-write and executive produce alongside Davidson, Michaels, Andrew Singer and Erin David.
