Hot off the news that production for the third season of Netflix’s “The Witcher” just wrapped after a five-month shoot, a new report indicates something even more substantial could be in the works.
Rendian Intelligence says according to their sources, the current intention is to make the show’s fourth and fifth season back to back – both in terms of writing and filming it.
We do know several months ago, director Stephen Surjik revealed that the fourth season was already being mapped out, this would suggest it has gone further than expected.
They add that writing should begin within the next few months, and if true, it could mean a substantial shoot for all involved, including stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan.
It’s not unheard of though. Recently Netflix’s “Vikings: Valhalla” essentially shot all three of its seasons back to back with brief breaks in-between.
Potentially more information could be forthcoming at the Tudum virtual event on September 24th.
