Twitter reacts to Derek Brunson’s dominant finish of Darren Till at UFC Fight Night 191

Derek Brunson inched even closer to a middleweight title shot when he defeated Darren Till in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 191 main event.

Brunson (23-7 MMA, 14-5 UFC) extended his winning streak to five fights when he outworked and out-grappled Till (18-4-1 MMA, 6-4-1 UFC) to a third-round submission win in the event headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Check below for the top Twitter reactions to Brunson’s victory over Till at UFC Fight Night 191.

Aljamain Sterling

If Brunson doesn’t tire, I think he takes this one. Much improved over the years and past few fights. He uses his wrestling well and inflicts good damage on top or gets good control time. But sometimes that grappling fatigues him #UFCVegas36

Bloody Elbow

Till pressuring early to start round 1, lands a good left and another. Brunson with a 1-2. Brunson clinches up and eats a knee. #UFCVegas36

Stinging left hands from Till early. Brunson responds to the pressure with a takedown. #UFCVegas36

10-8 Derek Brunson in R1.

He had Till in serious trouble on the ground. #UFCVegas36

Kevin Iole

This is not good for Till. Taking more punishment and his eyes are getting worse and worse

— Kevin Iole (@KevinI) September 4, 2021

Ant Evans

Till too slow with strikes. Brunson open for right hook counter but Till backs way out and range. Darren misses with crosses and falls into TD range. Hard to see him getting faster from here

Tatiana Saurez

That wasn’t wise. He should have ditched the knee and resorted to takedown defense first. Beautiful shot from Brunson! #UFCVegas36

Aaron Bronsteter

20-18 Brunson

Taking the path of least resistance and it’s working like a charm. Let’s see what kind of pace both Brunson and Till can maintain going forward.

Brett Okamoto

Derek Brunson gets it done. Taps Darren Till in the third. Just when it looked like Till had him hurt and had turned the tide, Brunson gets a takedown he had to have and locks in the choke. Won first two rounds as well.

Ben Askren

Just when Till starts landing he gets taken down and turns over.

Megan Anderson

While a great W, I didn’t see anything in that performance that showed Brunson can beat Adesanya… but who knows 🤔 #UFCVegas36
