Who’s Playing
Missouri @ No. 8 Kansas
Current Records: Missouri 5-4; Kansas 7-1
What to Know
The Missouri Tigers will take on the #8 Kansas Jayhawks at 3:15 p.m. ET on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse. These two teams are strolling into their matchup after big wins in their previous games.
Mizzou made easy work of the Eastern Illinois Panthers on Tuesday and carried off a 72-44 victory. The Tigers got double-digit scores from four players: guard Amari Davis (15), guard DaJuan Gordon (14), forward Kobe Brown (11), and guard Javon Pickett (10). This also makes it three games in a row in which Kobe Brown has had at least three steals.
Meanwhile, Kansas entered their game on Tuesday as the heavy favorite, and they fully lived up to the hype. Everything went their way against the Texas-El Paso Miners as they made off with a 78-52 win. The Jayhawks’ guard Ochai Agbaji did his thing and had 23 points along with five rebounds.
Their wins bumped the Tigers to 5-4 and Kansas to 7-1. With both Mizzou and Kansas swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
