MAFS UK’s Luke Dawson shares graphic snaps of hair transplant process

Married At First Sight UK 2021 star Luke Dawson has given fans a close-up look at his full hair transplant process.

The 37 year old, who was ill-matched with Morag Crichton on the show, posted the update on Instagram with a sensitive content warning.

“Hi everyone, as many of you are aware I once had a hair transplant. The pics below are my journey from how I once looked before to how it has turned out now,” he wrote. “I have never shared these photos before, but I honestly have such an amazing following I want to share my journey with you.”

The reel of images shows Luke going from a receding hairline to a relatively full head of hair. He also included a graphic look at the treatment and healing process with a few snaps showing his bloodied scalp.

Luke opted to have a hair transplant a few years ago, after years of feeling insecure about his thinning hairline. However, it seems watching himself on TV has prompted those insecurities to flare up again, as he also revealed in the Instagram post that he’s currently in the process of having a second top-up treatment.

“@wanthair_uk have kindly offered to redo my hair and finally correct it for me due to the first time round not taking as well as I’d hoped. I’m excited and nervous so this Friday I go into surgery,” he wrote.

Luke’s fans reacted to the news by wishing him well and sending him praise for being so candid about his treatment.

“Honest never noticed when watching the show. Good luck though for surgery,” commented one.

Another said: “Hope it all goes well Friday. You look great as you are but I totally get it’s about making you feel more confident in yourself,” while a third wrote: “Fair play to you for sharing these and being real and true to yourself.”

Luke’s treatment update comes after a few weeks of social media silence following his MAFS marriage breakup.

After Luke and Morag’s relationship ended, her treatment of him was looked down upon by fans. Morag had posted about the hate comments she was receiving after this breakup, saying: “Who would be okay waking up to the most horrific messages and comments. It’s hard and debilitating.”

Luke was quick to back Morag on his own page, posting in her defence after hearing that she was suffering abuse following their split after the show.
