“My Universe” by BTS and Coldplay has been certified gold in the United Kingdom!
On March 11 (local time), the British Phonographic Industry confirmed that “My Universe” had received an official gold BRIT certification. According to the BPI’s certification standards, singles earn gold certification in the United Kingdom when they achieve 400,000 units.

After its release on September 24, 2021 at 1 p.m. KST, “My Universe” skyrocketed to success, making an impressive debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Official Singles Chart in the United Kingdom. In just over a month, the music video surpassed 100 million views and the song was certified silver in the United Kingdom by mid-November.
“My Universe” is BTS’s second single to go gold in the UK after “Dynamite,” which became the first single by a Korean group to achieve this feat in February 2021. BTS also has three albums that have gone gold in the UK, including “Love Yourself: Answer,” “Map of the Soul: Persona,” and “Map of the Soul: 7.”
