The Top Gear host, whose model wife Christine is set to tell all on her fertility troubles and anorexia battle in a new book, enjoyed a sweet birthday celebration with his twins Penelope and Leo, eight, and four year old daughter Felicity.
Paddy looked over-the-moon as he blew out his candles on the homemade birthday cake surrounded by his three adorable little ones.
Christine had decked the table with Percy Pig napkins and paper cups along with a collection of birthday balloons.

The children helped to decorate the cake that was covered in blue icing with sweet handwritten messages inside red fondant hearts, which read: “Happy Birthday Daddy. 48. We love you.”
Paddy posed for a snap with his cake alongside his homemade cards from his children with one stating: “Daddy is the best”.
Captioning the snaps to his 1.8million followers, Paddy penned: “My babies made me a Birthday cake! Being a parent is stressful but it’s the moments like this that make everything worthwhile. For anyone else celebrating their Birthday today, happy Birthday!!”
Paddy was flooded with comments from well-wishers as he rang in his 48th birthday surrounded by his nearest and dearest.
His wife Christine, 33, commented: “Cuties. Happy birthday love.”
Mark Wright added: “Happy birthday big man x.”
Kate Thornton wrote: “Happy birthday! Looks like you’re surrounded by love.”
It comes after his wife Christine has announced she is releasing a tell-all autobiography later this year entitled A Beautiful Nightmare.
The book, which hits shelves 9 November, will delve into many topics the TV personality hasn’t spoken about before including her anorexia battle, fertility troubles, marriage to husband Paddy and tough childhood.
“Writing a book is not something I ever expected to come my way,” Christine admitted.
“I never thought anyone would be interested in me. I’m nervous about people getting to know me and my background, but because of that, I saw this as an opportunity that I couldn’t turn down because it’s a real pinch me moment to write my story.
She continued: “My husband has been in the public eye for over 20 years, and for over a decade I’ve been referred to as Paddy‘s wife, which I love and I’m proud of, but I’ve been to big red carpet events where I’ve got to the table and my name place has said ‘Paddy‘s wife’!
“It’s only recently that I’ve been recognised as Christine, but I’ve been Christine for 33 years so there’s a lot of my life with untold stories that people don’t know about.”
