“Favored Furry Blessings: Paw Prints that Pulled at my Heartstrings” by Antoinette Leopoldina Oliveira will be displayed at the Tucson Festival of Books on March 12-13, 2022, at the University of Arizona Mall, Tucson, AZ. This book is dedicated to animal lovers, both new and old. People learn to love pets by developing a connection to them as they become part of their family. Having animals is a huge responsibility, and it would always be worth it as it brings families joy and relief.

The author was fortunate enough to have one cat and two dogs whose story must be told. Oliveira originally intended to compile these tales into a book to give to her son and daughter for Christmas but after spending so much time writing about them, she feels there is a market for these experiences among animal lovers. They were given Neika as a kitten to help them with a mouse issue, and they all fell in love with her.

She developed into a massive grey striped cat with a tiger-like face and an attitude to match, but they adored her. Biscuit, who was beautiful, aggressive, intellectual, and capable of being both destructive and nasty while still being loveable and devoted, bestowed upon them the greatest gift imaginable. More so, Apache was also a cheerful, sensitive, and observant dog who not only lavished affection on Mom and the kids but also stretched his love and care well beyond their small household.
