Chris Eubank Jr was in mischievous form after sealing a win via stoppage against Wanik Awdijan.
The bout in Newcastle was brought to an abrupt after five rounds with the Armenian withdrawing due to having his rib broken by a Eubank Jr body shot.
Eubank Jr looked disappointed as his victory was confirmed, admitting he wanted to put more of a show on for the fans in Newcastle.
After the fight, he made a hilarious reference to when he signed a fan’s microwave earlier this week.
He said: “I love Newcastle, it’s always a pleasure to come up here. If any of you guys have got a microwave you want me to sign I’ll be outside with my pen ready!”
What’s next for Eubank Jr? He outlined his intentions to fight the big names with a bout with Liam Williams touted.
He also couldn’t help resist having a pop at long-time rival Billy Joe Saunders either.
On who he wants to fight next, Eubank Jr added: “Anybody with a world title, anything the fans want to see me fight…
“A guy that keeps popping up is Liam Williams, everyone seems to want that fight for me so that’s an option.
“You’ve got that rat Saunders running around, he wants to fight me for five mil [£5million].
“The options are endless. All I know, from December, big names, it’s gonna be a hell of a 12 months.”
The Newcastle crowd were also treated to home favourite Savannah Marshall breezing to victory over Lolita Muzeya.
Marshall came racing out the blocks to win via technical knockout in the second round – her seventh successive knockout.
It’s since been revealed that Marshall will fight Claressa Shields on December 11 and the American issued a warning that she would offer a lot more than what Muzeya did.
A defiant Marshall responded: “Claressa Shields couldn’t last two rounds with me!”
There was also success for Hughie Fury, who emerged victorious as his opponent retired hurt in the fifth round.
Fury, cousins with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, won after Christian Hammer pulled out with a bicep injury.
It’s another step towards a desired world title shot for Fury, who told talkSPORT earlier this week that he will win a world champion.
The heavyweight said: “All I know is that I am going to be champion of the orld, I won’t stop until I get there.
“I’ve got a good team behind me… I’ve got the platform in Sky Sports, which I believe is the biggest platform in boxing. Having the right team will get me the right fights and get me to the top.
“You’re only two fights away and you’re back at the top.”
