Actor Taylor Kitsch, who memorably played Tim Riggins on the “Friday Night Lights” TV series, says he has no plans to be involved in any revival or reboot of the property.

Over the years there’s been talk of continuing or reviving the franchise, most recently back in 2019 with filmmakers John Erick and Drew Dowdle attached.

Kitsch can currently be seen starring opposite Chris Pratt in Amazon Prime’s “The Terminal List” series and recently spoke with Variety who asked him about the possibility. He says:

“You may see it, but I will not be a part of it. I’m done. I’m good. I want to keep growing as an actor. Going back to Rigs — let him live in everyone else’s memories. Whatever that is, whatever he means to them, let him lay there.”

Kitsch wants to make it clear he has no bad feelings about his time on the show: “It was such a huge springboard for me, but I’m such a different actor now. It allowed me to explore the process, be f–king green and embrace it.”
