Sorry for the lack of drama: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson may have called it quits, but sources claim that the relationship ended smoothly and naturally. They’re also never getting back together, à la many KarJenners and their men (Kendall and Devin, Khloé and Tristan, Kourtney and Scott, Kylie and Travis).
Per People, America’s most unexpected yet inevitable couple started off hot (we didn’t need anon sources to tell us this) but, after a while, that heat cooled down and eventually ended the relationship for good.
“They’ve definitely been slowing down,” an insider told the outlet. “Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed. Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup,” they said. “They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course.”
Another source said that there is no chance of Kete rekindling their romance. “It was an amicable split,” the source told People. “They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn’t sudden. And it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now.”
Kim and Pete connected after the reality TV star and Skims cofounder hosted Saturday Night Live in October 2021. As a cast member, Davidson starred in a skit opposite Kardashian: He played Aladdin to her Jasmine. The two kissed onscreen and sparks must have flown because, in the following weeks, the pair was spotted in Davidson’s hometown of Staten Island and at a theme park with Kardashian’s family. The relationship didn’t even last a year, but there are so many memories: hickeys, making out on Instagram, when Pete got Kim’s name branded on his chest, and when Pete became a Skims influencer.
Perhaps a Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson romance is better left in the past, though.
