Fulham are closing in on a £10million deal for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.
The Wales international had been attracting interest from Benfica but the Cottagers have jumped to the head of the queue with Craven Cottage now looking like the 24-year-old’s most likely destination.
Wilson, who spent the last three seasons out on loan at Derby, Bournemouth and Cardiff respectively, was deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield.
Wilson is currently still at the club’s training camp in Austria but was withdrawn from the squad for Friday night’s friendly against manager Jurgen Klopp’s former club Mainz so as not to jeopardise any transfer.
The former academy graduate has struggled to stamp a claim for regular football within the senior set-up, making just two first-team appearances for the club – in the FA and Carabao Cups.
Meanwhile, Stefan Johansen is set to finalise a permanent move to west London neighbours QPR.
talkSPORT exclusively revealed that the 30-year-old midfielder, who was exceptional for QPR during a loan spell last season, was undergoing a medical on Friday.
An agreement between both parties was reached followed lengthy negotiations, with Johansen poised to sign for QPR in a deal which could rise in excess of £600,000.
