Jake Paul remains one of the most talked about, controversial and polarising figures in combat sport at this very moment.
After knocking out Ben Askren last weekend in Atlanta, the YouTube star has no shortage of boxers and MMA fighters clamouring to step into the ring with the 24-year-old after amassing a 3-0 record.
Of course, ‘Funky’ was not renowned for his hands, while neither Nate Robinson nor AnEsonGib had ever boxed before.
The question about how he would fare against a recognised professional fighter remains, with sceptics and critics insisting it would be an early night and a proverbial bloodbath.
Lightweight superstar Ryan Garcia teamed up with Paul last summer to produce video content for their respective social media channels, with the pair taking part in the Body Shot challenge.
Garcia unleashed a series of hooks to Paul’s unprotected body and he began to cough up blood and wince in pain.
An ambulance duly arrived, with Paul then saying: “Yo, paramedic, before we go I just want to tell my friend you just got pranked b****!”
Garcia is then gobsmacked, as everyone begins laughing, and Paul shouts “that’s what we do! Welcome to YouTube.”
The lightweight contender appeared to take the joke well, playing along online by urging people to watch the prank on YouTube.
Garcia has stated that he’s now signed the contract for his next fight.
It’s reported that his opponent will be Javier Fortuna, not Manny Pacquiao or Gervonta Davis who he previously called out.
