Who are the kids from Mary Poppins Returns?
Actress Pixie Davies, 15, starred as Annabel Banks in Mary Poppins Returns, and she was just 12 years old when she took on the role.
While it marked one of her biggest roles to date, Pixie has also starred in numerous well-known titles.
Her first on-screen apperance came in 2012, when she portrayed Cally Caleigh in BBC drama The Secret of Crickley Hall. During that same year, Pixie made her film debut in the hit Christmas movie, Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger.
Her acting career took off from there, and she’s also been cast in titles such as Utopia, Humans, and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
Having been told she’d bagged the role of Annabel in 2018, she previously said she thought she was going to “burst” when she heard the news.
Pixie has gone on to star in 101 Dalmatian Street as Big Fee, and is also the voice behind character Adel in the upcoming film, The Magician’s Elephant.
Joel, 13, took on the role Michael Banks’ youngest son, Georgie, in Mary Poppins Returns.
It marked Joel’s first acting role, and in an interview with Baby Savers, he excitedly revealed his reaction when it was revealed he’d been chosen for the part, saying: “My agent already knew so she came over to my house. Then Rob Marshall called me and said “we want you to have the part.”
“I had it on speakerphone and everyone was so silent and my eyes were watering. My mum was squealing after the phone call.”
Joel’s next on-screen appearance is currently unknown, but he can be found over on Instagram where his parents keep fans up to date on his career.
Child star Nathanael Saleh, 15, portrayed Michael’s eldest son, John Banks, in the second Mary Poppins film.
While it marked his film debut, he’d previously starred in hit television series Game of Thrones, where he played the role of Arthur in two episodes.
Nathanael has since gone on to star in 2019 Netflix series The Letter for the King as main character Piak.
He’s also set to feature in upcoming film Days of the Bagnold Summer as Alex, and in short film The Snatcher as Jimmy, with both release dates yet to be announced.
