The story of Teppen follows Yayoi Sakamoto who is a diehard fan of comedians and comedy. She and her childhood friend recreate a comedy group when another friend pitches in.
Now, they are on a mission to become the best comedy trio in their school.
Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is ready to rock our world with comedy as it gears up for a summer release.

Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anime is scheduled to premiere on July 2022. The trailer teases the opening theme song, “Teppen Tengoku ~TOP OF THE LAUGH!!!~,” and also gives a glimpse of the characters. Check out the latest visual!

The teaser previews the opening theme song “Teppen— Tengoku ~TOP OF THE LAUGH!!!~” which is performed by Teppen— All-Stars, a unit composed of the 15 main cast members.
It also showcases how bright and cheerful each character is as they aspire to become comedians.
The new visual highlights 15 characters that will be featured in the anime, which is the same number of exclamation points used in the show’s official title Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Additionally, each character member of the anime is divided into a group of three comedians:
Celebri-Tea, is a comedy group that represents the Tōkai region. They are Mako Shirakabe, Saeka Yabukita, and Hikari Jogasaki.
Okurade О̄koku group represents the Kantō region with its members – Hina Kasama, Miyu Komatsuzaki, and Misao Ushiku.
The group Shinryakusha with its members – Chihori Hokuto, Yuina Rokkatei, and Mone Ishiya represents the Hokkaido area.
Dangan Kunoichi group that represents the Kansai area consists of Iroha Akishika, Kana Kiyotsuru, and Chitose Amano.
With all of the comedy groups representing various regions in Japan, I’m fascinated to know how they will bring in humor with their dialects.
Also, I’m looking forward to seeing how all the 15 main characters will be given a chance to shine in the series.
About Teppen—!!!
Teppen—!!! is a coming-of-age manga written by Inujun and illustrated by Namamugi, and it began publishing in Monthly Bushiroad in January 2021. The manga is inspired by the voice actress unit Seiyū San-Shimai Team Y formed by Mikoi Sasaki, Aimi, and Ayasa Itō.
The story revolves around an aspiring comedian Yayoi Sakamoto who enrolls in Nanba’s Kazuki High School. Yayoi reunites with her childhood friend Yomogi Takahashi and the pair soon encounter a mysterious girl asking for their help.
