The trailer for Marvel’s Disney+ series “Secret Invasion” is finally here. Disney released the teaser during D23 Expo on Sept. 10. In the new footage, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) meets with Col. Rhodey Rhodes (Don Cheadle) to discuss the Skrull invasion, which Rhodey reveals he already knew about. The rest of the action-packed trailer also features the first looks at Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman in action in the MCU, plus fan favorites like Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders).
“Secret Invasion” is part of Marvel’s Phase Five, which also includes “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Daredevil: Born Again,” and “Captain America: New World Order.” It will be directed by Thomas Bezucha, known for “Let Him Go” starring Kevin Costner, and Ali Selim, whose résumé includes “The Looming Tower,” “Condor,” and “Manhunt.” The series, which consists of six episodes, will also see the reappearance of a number of Marvel characters from various features, though whether they’re the real characters or they’re being possessed by Skrulls remains to be seen. Marvel head Kevin Feige also revealed that the series will lead right into another upcoming Marvel project — the Disney+ series “Armor Wars.”
