TikTok phenom turned reality star Dixie D’Amelio finally committed to the hairstyle she’s been longing for since sixth grade.
The social media influencer, who rose to fame alongside her sister Charli D’Amelio in 2020, debuted her newly shaved head at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons & Bloomingdale’s 150th Anniversary party during NYFW on September 9. The brunette showed off her buzz cut in a sheer nude Etro gown with dramatic side cutouts and minimal jewelry.

Of course, the 21-year-old documented the process on YouTube, revealing that she’s been thinking about the hair transformation for quite some time. “I’ve wanted to do this since like sixth grade,” she said in the video. “I’ve been sad recently, but I don’t want to say anything because I don’t want anyone to think I’m having a mental breakdown.”
Once she decided to take the plunge, D’Amelio knew she wanted to debut the look at the Harper’s Bazaar party and debated wearing a wig to an event earlier in the day. “We’re gonna make it a moment,” she said. “I have dark eyes and eyebrows and lashes, I feel like it’d be fine.”
