The Dolphins (8-7) became the only team in NFL history to have a seven-game losing streak followed by a seven-game winning streak after beating the Saints 20-3 on Monday night.
The Saints (7-8) were missing 22 players on Monday night due to COVID-19, and this showed in their loss to the Dolphins.
Ian Book made his first NFL start on Monday night, and he threw an interception which turned into a touchdown during his first drive of the game. Book was sacked eight times and threw another interception in the fourth quarter. The Saints didn’t convert a single third down. Book finished with 135 passing yards thanks to his huge 56-yard play to Lil’Jordan Humphrey in the fourth quarter.
Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle finished the game with 10 completions for 92 yards. He also scored the only offensive touchdown of the game. Waddle now has the second-most receptions by a rookie with 96 so far this season. He’s only six receptions away from beating the current record held by former Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin (101).
Monday night’s win put the Dolphins in playoff contention as they take the seventh seed in the AFC. The Dolphins will face the Titans and the Patriots to finish out their season, and they most likely need to win both of these games to keep their playoff spot.

Ian book is 0/12 on 3rd down, been sacked 8 times, and would be under 100 yards passing if not for that one long fluke pass play. Oh and 2 interceptions
