Neil Gaiman has confirmed that he’s wooed “The Sandman” comic cover artist Dave McKean out of retirement to work on Netflix’s upcoming TV series adaptation of his comics.
Specifically, each of the ten episodes has an end-title credits with a different sequence and all come from “this amazing, flowing film that Dave McKean made” said Gaiman during the show’s Comic-Con panel the other day.
Meanwhile, Netflix (via IGN) has released two extended clips from the new series – one putting the focus on Gwendoline Christie’s Lucifer, whilst the other centers on Kirby Howell-Baptiste’s Death. Tom Sturridge’s Dream is a big part of both scenes.
“The Sandman” launches on the service on August 5th.
