After Sonali Guha and Sarala Murmu, now turncoat footballer-turned TMC former MLA Dipendu Biswas writes to Mamata Banerjee on Monday, urging that he wants to return to Trinamool Congress. He had joined BJP ahead of the assembly polls after he was denied ticket by TMC leadership.
Dipendu wrote in his letter to the Chief Minister that he left the party after being was emotional and was fearing to be inactive. He also expressed his desire to work for Basirhat South Constituency.
Many turncoat leaders are making beeline to Trinamool Congress, following Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s thumping victory in the assembly polls remained unabated.
Zilla Parishad member of Malda Sarala Murmu expressed her desire to join back the ruling Trinamool Congress recently.
The exodus drama of the TMC leaders to BJP and then reverse exodus to TMC continues in West Bengal. Murmu’s response after Sonali Guha, a long-time close aide of Mamata Banerjee, who recently expressed her desire to come back to the party.
Sonali Guha had joined BJP after she was denied ticket from Santragachhi from where she had contested and won in 2016. Many other turncoat leaders are queuing up to join the TMC after the poll debacle of BJP.
Murmu, a TMC turncoat leader, had joined the saffron camp before the polls following discord over seat distribution with the party leadership. Murmu was fielded from Habibpur seat while she wanted to contest from Maldaha Assembly Constituency seat.
Murmu had asked for forgiveness from TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee.
Notably, Sonali Guha, once a close aide of Mamata Banerjee, also expressed her desire to join back the TMC camp which she had deserted for not getting a ticket. Guha also said she was unable to match with the ideology of BJP.
Four-time MLA and senior leader, Sonali wrote in her social media handle: “The way a fish cannot stay out of the water, I will not be able to live without you, ‘Didi’. I seek your forgiveness and if you don’t forgive me, I won’t be able to live. Please allow me to come back, and spend the rest of my life in your affection.”
