The official Twitter of Monthly Shounen Sirius announced on Tuesday that a television anime adaptation of FUNA‘s Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-manmai no Kinka wo Tamemasu (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement) light novel is in production. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2023.
FUNA originally published the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2015. Kodansha began publishing the series under its K Ranobe Books label in June 2017 and shipped the sixth volume last June. The seventh volume is scheduled to go on sale on Friday.
Keisuke Motoe began serializing a manga adaptation on the Suiyoubi no Sirius web magazine in June 2017. Kodansha will ship the tenth volume on August 8.
Sol Press originally licensed the light novel and manga in English and released the first two novel volumes and the first manga volume before going defunct. Kodansha USA reacquired both this month and plans to begin publishing the manga adaptation in Spring 2023.
