Tristan “Third Trimester” Thompson posted about “responsibility” as he parties all over Europe ahead of the birth of his fourth child.
The NBA star, 31, took to his Instagram Story on Sunday to list the “three rules” that will help one realize “that independence is the way forward.”
According to his post, the rules are “nothing is promised to you,” “no one owes you anything” and “you have all responsibility in your life.”
Thompson’s peculiar post came just one day after his ex, Khloé Kardashian, encouraged her Instagram followers to “grow” instead of being held “hostage” by their pasts.
“You see, I figured out that people will hold you hostage to your past because it helps them validate how they wanted to feel about you,” a Maryland-based TikToker said in a viral video, which the Good American founder, 38, reposted via Instagram Saturday.
“And to be honest, it helps them really validate how they want to feel about themselves. Either way, can I give you some advice? Grow. Grow at such a rate so fast and so much that your past becomes irrelevant. Anybody who chooses to see you from your old scope, they become just as irrelevant.”
Thompson has spent the last two weeks in Europe despite awaiting the arrival of his second child – a son – with Kardashian.
During his travels, the soon-to-be father of four was seen holding hands with a mystery brunette after partying at a Grecian nightclub, and in St. Tropez alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Kardashian, who has not made any public comments about her ex’s travels, seemed to condone his behavior when she “liked” a post that read, “I don’t know why it would be crazy for Tristan to be with another girl as long as he’s a good dad to his baby.”
The basketball player earned his unflattering “Third Trimester” nickname after his first cheating scandal was exposed right before Kardashian – his then-girlfriend – went into labor with their 4-year-old daughter, True.
The “Kardashians” star took the athlete back several times before calling it quits for good in December 2021 after learning he had secretly fathered another woman’s child.
However, by that time, their surrogate was already pregnant.
The Chicago Bulls center-forward also shares 5-year-old son Prince with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, who was pregnant when he began his romance with Kardashian.
Additionally, Thompson shares 7-month-old son Theo with fitness model Maralee Nichols.
