Sunny Deol, son of veteran actor Dharmendra, went on to build a film legacy with some successful roles throughout the 90s and early 2000s. The actor, who turned 63-year-old today, has been acclaimed through awards like two National Awards and two film awards for his contribution to cinema.
Apart from being one of the most successful stars in the 80s and 90s, Sunny Deol also explored other aspects of the film industry. He made his debut with producing a film and eventually, even went on to direct another movie – Dillagi.
Years later, apart from being one of the most recognized Indian actors, Sunny Deol followed his father Dharmendra’s footsteps and entered politics. The actor contested elections under Bharatiya Janta Party’s seat and even became the MP from Gurdaspur (Lok Sabha constituency) of Punjab State.
