On Frankly Speaking with Navika Kumar, filmmaker and producer Prakash Jha takes the hot seat and speaks about the ‘aashram’ controversy. ‘The point of view is the common people who fall for it is being portrayed’ says the filmmaker. When being asked upon taking a stand for web series, Prakash Jha states that his views genueily take a neutral stand in the web series. He also talkes about leaving behind politics as a career and huge it was for him.
Navika Kumar then questions him over ‘baba culture’ and how discerning it is and how it promotes superstitions, to which the filmmaker states it is from the perception of the common people as they believe whatever is done is done for the good but the reality is far different from that. He further lays emphasis on fact and not fiction.
He further adds that these people do not have real information, knowledge, devotion to the real religion and spiritualism for which India has been famous for so many years. He then states that the equation pertaining to ‘such incidents’ are explored in the web series.#FranklySpeakingWithPrakashJha
