Chairman of the State Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti said today that there should be no politics on holding national engineering and medical entrance examinations.
Speaking at Una rest house, Satti said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the people need to learn to live with Covid-19, adding that life should come to a normalcy though norms required to check further spread of the virus should be followed. He said the future of students was at stake, adding that the students and the system would take all safety precautions during the examinations.
The BJP leader said as the Chairman of the State Finance Commission, his responsibilities included allocating finances for the development of rural and urban areas. He said since the Department of Finance was with the Chief Minister, he would hold deliberations with the CM to function in the best interest of the state.
Earlier, Satti was accorded a warm welcome by BJP workers and public at the Mehatpur interstate barrier where he arrived from Shimla after assuming the charge of the Chairman of the state Finance Commission.
